A Director of IT in the Lloyds TSB group prior to his retirement, Terry is a well-respected 40 year IT professional, his experience and extensive industry knowledge are invaluable in helping to achieve ONS’s goal of being a key player in its marketplace.
He has worked in senior positions for 35 years within the Lloyds TSB Group, where he achieved Director of Group IT Service Delivery for six years. He has been instrumental at leading change within the bank throughout a number of mergers and acquisitions in the UK and internationally and since leaving Lloyds consulted into a number of major IT vendors.
He left in 2002 having held the position of Director of Group IT Service Delivery for the previous 6 years. He had total responsibility for all the companys IT operations in all major centres, 3000+ branches, 18 Data Centres, as well as associated companies, Cheltenham & Gloucester, Abbey Life, UDT and Scottish Widows. He managed a team of 1500 technical and operational staff who were responsible for total end to end IT from the Data Centres, local and wide area networks, branch technology and desk top, including voice, data and e.commerce along with dealing room and call centre disciplines.
A very senior industry person, experienced at managing large departments, major budgets and the introduction of change, new technologies and opportunities. Since leaving LloydsTSB Terry has worked as an IT Consultant, in both BT Retail and BT Global Solutions
Having spent 20 years at BT plc working in Global Sales and Marketing he left in 2005 to set up One Number Solutions Ltd. He has spent 25 years in the ICT market and has worked across a number of industry verticals including; finance, professional services, utility and manufacturing sectors. Whilst at BT he had Account Management Team responsibility for clients including Lloyds Bank, Thames Water, KPMG, PWC and Invensys.
His experience includes Project Managing a number of IT Audits including Barclays Capital, General Motors, NHS and Local Authority engagements. The past 2 years have been spent growing the ONS portfolio that now includes contact centre technology and VoIP/SIP products. Johns Business Development Manager experience brings a breadth of client facing knowledge to the team.
An ICT professional for 40 years, he has worked at senior levels within a number of established and embryonic ICT companies
Martin has also had extensive experience within the fixed line telephony market both as a supplier, negotiations with major carriers and in negotiating the buying/aggregating of reseller operations.
As well as his experience in the ICT sectors he has broad commercial experience at senior executive level.
